Transforming Lives: Pascale’s Story

Some kids dream of being astronauts or doctors. Pascale dreamt of becoming a chef. Growing up in Haiti, she envisioned a future where she would fuse Caribbean flavors with different cuisines. She left her homeland to pursue stability, opportunity and culinary dreams.

Pascale enrolled in Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida's free, 16-week Culinary Training Program

“This is my chance to move forward with my dreams and goals,” said Pascale.

Through the program, Pascale connected with chef instructors who guided her in her career journey. Guest teachers, hands-on experiences and an immersive field trip opened new opportunities to work in local restaurants.

“Anything is possible if you keep working on your goal. I'm grateful to be able to seize this opportunity and turn it into the career I've dreamed of,” said Pascale. Every student steps into the Second Harvest Culinary Training Program with a dream. Thanks to you, students like Pascale can achieve their dreams.
