Why I Give Every Month

The more Dona learned about hunger in her community, the more she felt called to do something about it. When she discovered Second Harvest, she was drawn to the vision of inspiring and engaging others to help end hunger. Becoming a Meal Maker felt like the right place to start, knowing that every dollar she gave each month would help provide 4 meals.

“I wanted to do more, more for my local community,” she said. “I went into ‘help’ mode.”

That decision led her to volunteer at the food bank, where she saw the impact of her monthly gift in action. Today, Dona continues to give monthly and show up for her community, helping to make sure no one faces hunger alone.
