Partnerships That Fuel Change
Corporate and foundation partners play a powerful role in helping ensure consistent access to nutritious food across Central Florida. Through financial support, employee engagement, cause marketing, and donated products, businesses of all sizes are helping to build stronger, healthier communities.

Whether you're in the food industry, a local business, or a national brand, there are meaningful ways to get involved and make a lasting impact.
Financial Support
Many companies find that supporting Second Harvest through matching gift programs, corporate foundations, charitable or community budgets can make a deep impact on the lives of local neighbors. Partnership often helps to further position brands in the marketplace and can boost camaraderie among staff and employees as well.
Second Harvest Food Bank has a long-standing reputation for being a solid partner in cause-related marketing plans, and other community-facing projects.

Product/In-kind donations
Each year, billions of pounds of safe food and grocery products are thrown away in restaurants and catering facilities and pulled from the shelves of retail stores. Your business can help by donating items you may normally discard – including dented cans, surplus inventory or unspoiled leftovers. Donating to Second Harvest can save your business real dollars. Plus, it's convenient and safe.
We accept anything from cases to truckloads of food and non-food items that include
- Dry-stored (nonperishable), perishable, refrigerated and frozen
- Fruits and vegetables, meat products, bakery items and prepared foods
- Raw ingredients, bulk products (grade outs), salvage product, reclamation products and unsellables
- Personal care, health and beauty items, household cleaning and paper products
- Surplus and bulk inventory, unlabeled or mislabeled items, discontinued items and private-label brands
- Surplus produce: If you find yourself with extra vegetables or fruit that you are unable to sell or won't be able to use, we ask that you consider donating them.
- Less-than-perfect produce: Donate less-than-ideal food that is still perfectly edible to help feed neighbors facing hunger.
- Land: Dedicate extra land to grow fresh food for food banks.
Of all the hard decisions you make in your business, partnering with Second Harvest as a food donor is one that feels good and gives back.

Host a Food and Fund Drive
We collect more than one million pounds of food and thousands of dollars each year through Food and Fund Drives held by community partners, including companies like yours. We also offer the option to hold an easy, fun Virtual Food Drive.
Volunteerism
Your employees will truly enjoy a shift or two helping sort or repack food in the volunteer work areas at Second Harvest. These fun sessions require no previous experience and provide a very hands-on way to touch lives.
