Your Reliable Support Nourishes Neighbors

Share

When Anna shops for groceries now, she puts most items back on the shelf. Prices keep rising, so she can only afford a few basics at a time.

โ€œIโ€™ll just do without rather than pay the prices, and theyโ€™re just getting worse,โ€ Anna said. โ€œIโ€™d rather use the money to pay bills than to put out on something thatโ€™s not worth it.โ€

One in seven Central Floridians, like Anna, face tough choices about paying for food, rent, and other essentials. Like many of her neighbors, she relies on mobile food distributions for assistance.

At a recent event, volunteers loaded a variety of nutritious food into her car. She received chicken, eggs, milk, and plenty of produce like carrots, collard greens, cabbage, sweet potatoes, and cantaloupe.

Because of your support, neighbors like Anna can count on Second Harvest as prices continue to rise.

Everyone can make a difference in the fight against hunger.
