You Help Students Succeed

Share

Everyone needs a helping hand sometimes. That's an important lesson for all of us, especially the next generation.

That can look like tutoring for a math test, an extra set of eyes on a research paper, or sometimes, food to fuel student success.

One of the most significant gaps in childhood hunger in Central Florida is food resources for students outside of the school cafeteria. Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida's School Partnerships Program, with the invaluable support of our community, offers a student-centered, stigma-reducing approach to increasing access to nutritious food for students facing hunger.

“When part of our school community is hurting, we're all hurting,” says Natalia, a parent engagement coordinator at a local school. “With this market, students and parents don't have to stress.”

Students can select free snacks, grocery items, and fresh produce to take home and share with their siblings and families. The program is made possible by the unwavering support of our community, ensuring that no one questions a student's need or eligibility.

You can help students have the food they need to be ready to learn with your gift today.
