Share

Since 2013, Second Harvest's Culinary Training Program has offered adults facing barriers to employment with the culinary and life skills training needed to pursue full-time careers in the food industry.

Take a behind-the scenes look in the video below:

As a long-term solution to hunger, the continuing education program works to provide a foundation for sustainable careers. This fall, the program celebrated its 500th graduate thanks to the support of people like you, employer partners, industry leaders and volunteer mentors. Over the years, graduates have shared many words of gratitude about how this life-changing program has impacted their lives.

  • “I'm grateful for this chance to have a set, steady job and spend more time with my kids.” – Antonio
  • “I'm grateful to be able to seize this opportunity and turn it into the career I've dreamed of.” – Pascale
  • “The people here believed in me and pushed me to be all that I can be.” – Bruce
  • “This program has been a catalyst for the well-being of my family. I feel like I can do anything. Thank you.” – Sofi
