The mom of twoย high-schoolersย and twoย second gradersย withย autism spectrum disorderย put on a brave face as she pulled into the Summerย BreakSpotย rural distribution site at St. Lukeโ€™sย Baptistย Church in Sanford in June.ย

She canโ€™t afford a summer camp, and she canโ€™t take her kids to a traditional Summerย BreakSpotย site to eat a prepared breakfast and lunch every day. She could barely squeeze in the drive to St. Lukeโ€™s to pick up boxes with a weekโ€™s worth of breakfasts and lunches for each kidย before having to hurry home.
