Community Partnerships Fight Hunger, Spark Change

While the Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign runs for a limited time each spring, year-round support from Walmart and Sam’s Clubs is instrumental in providing meals and hope daily to kids, families and seniors across Central Florida.

From now through March 31, local shoppers can help generate funding and resources for Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. There are three ways to participate.

Blessings Beyond the Box

Juan’s belief in the transformative power of the ministry is palpable. For him, it is about more than providing food; it is about creating a safe haven, lending a listening ear, and sharing a cup of coffee with a friend in need.

The power of the ministry lies in its partnerships. From the dedicated volunteers to the staff at Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and the local Walmart Neighborhood Market associates, working together is crucial in the fight against hunger in Central Florida.

Sparking Change Through Volunteerism

“Anything I’ve done at Second Harvest has been a joy,” says Neishla, a local Walmart associate and veteran volunteer.

Neishla’s journey with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida began when a coworker introduced her to the food bank as an opportunity to engage in team building through community service. For the last six years, Neishla has been fighting hunger by sorting food donations, preparing lunches and packing boxes of essential nonperishable foods for Central Florida neighbors facing hunger.
