Her situation is a stark reminder of the critical relief provided by Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida supporters, volunteers, and partners.
The relentlessly high cost of essential bills, including groceries, is pushing more and more people to seek help with food assistance. Last month, Second Harvest's online Food Finder tool, which assists neighbors in locating food pantries and distributions in their community, recorded 14,300 searches, a 102% surge compared to the previous month. This stark increase underscores the urgent need for continued support.
