Countdown to Share Your Christmas

For 40 years, WESH 2 News and the Central Florida community have come together to make the holidays brighter for neighbors facing hunger through Share Your Christmas. What began as a simple act of kindness has grown into one of the area’s most cherished holiday traditions, uniting families, volunteers, and community partners to support local kids, families and seniors through Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

This year marks a milestone, four decades of generosity, compassion, and community impact.

Canstruction Orlando Lights the Way to a Hunger-Free Central Florida

Every year, an incredible volunteer committee hosts the unique hunger-fighting food drive and community event called Canstruction. This international hunger-relief charity, with local chapters including Canstruction Orlando, recruits local teams to design and build impressive structures from canned and non-perishable food items. The collective effort of these teams, along with the support of the local community, results in the annual donation of millions of pounds of food for food banks like Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

Spring is here, which means the third annual Ultimate Garden Party is just around the corner! Located at Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, this afternoon soiree offers an abundance of memorable moments while raising funds and transforming lives through nutritious meals and hope.
