Xavier’s goal is to find purpose and fulfillment in his life. He explored several different paths, including auto mechanics and computer engineering. He found he needed a career that provided an opportunity to be creative and hands-on.

A Recipe for Success: Suzeline is Betting on Herself

Recently, Suzeline took a leap of faith and bet on herself. She packed up her life in New Jersey and traveled to Orlando to begin her journey.

Suzeline settled into a customer support role and quickly learned she wanted a career providing greater satisfaction and purpose. She has been interested in cooking since high school, watching YouTube videos and cooking shows to learn specific recipes, but she never considered it a career choice until she saw an ad for Second Harvest Food Bank’s Culinary Training Program on the bus.

Always Learning: Seeking growth after graduation

After graduating from Second Harvest’s 16-week Culinary Training Program, 470 inspiring individuals have started new careers and turned the page to new life chapters. The program is only the beginning for these hardworking graduates.

What comes next for them is to apply the new kitchen and life skills learned during their training.
