Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida supplies food to over 870 feeding partners across Brevard, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola,  Seminole, and Volusia counties.

Food is not distributed directly to individuals from our facilities.

Each pantry operates a bit differently. Here’s what to know:

  • Call first to confirm hours and any appointment needs
  • Some offer walk-up service, others require appointments
  • Be prepared to wait during busy times
  • Volunteers work hard to follow safety guidelines and serve everyone fairly

Mobile drops are large, community-wide food distributions. Keep in mind:

  • Hundreds of people may attend
  • Arrive close to the posted distribution time (not too early)
  • Food is first come, first served
  • Food variety may change as supplies run out
  • You may be asked to fill out a simple registration form, especially if USDA (TEFAP) food is provided

No.

Many pantries offer:

  • Fresh produce
  • Dairy, frozen meats, and baked goods
  • Sometimes a “Client Choice” model, where you select items based on preference

 

  • ID is not required
  • You will never be asked for a birth certificate or social security number
  • No proof of residency is needed
  • Anyone in need of food is welcome
  • You do not need to be receiving SNAP, unemployment, or free/reduced lunch
  • If USDA food is distributed, you may be asked to share your ZIP Code, household size, and income level on a form

Yes. Just send a signed note giving them permission to pick up food on your behalf.

Yes. Apply for SNAP (food stamps) online here.

  • Some pantries limit visits due to high demand
  • You may visit different pantries in your area if you need more help
