Canstruction Orlando returns to Dezerland Park Orlando (5250 International Drive, Orlando, Fla. 32819) on Saturday, Oct. 3, bringing together local architecture and engineering firms for a creative competition with a powerful purpose: fighting hunger in Central Florida.
This year’s ‘America the Build-iful’ theme challenges teams to transform canned food into structures honoring the people, places, symbols and stories that have shaped the nation.
The public is invited to experience and vote for these one-of-a-kind creations at Dezerland Park during regular operating hours from Saturday, Oct. 3 through Saturday, Oct. 17. After the displays come down on Sunday, Oct. 18, the cans will be de-canstructed and donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, turning creativity into meals for local families facing hunger.
