Hurricanes hit Central Florida hard this year, and families face food insecurity more than ever.

That's why I need your help! Join my Cans Over Candy team and start your own Food and Funds Drive.

Step One: You've done it by joining my team and setting up your virtual fundraiser. Thanks and Congrats!

Step Two: Go to a free QR code site (I use QRCodeChimp dot com) and make a code that links to your fundraising page. Save your code to use in your social media posts and printed materials.

Step Three: Make and send out a flyer to your neighbors letting them know you're going to be collecting NOT EXPIRED non-perishable food items and other items like baby food, diapers, pet food, and so on. (Feel free to use the flyer pictured below. Just add your QR code in the space provided.)

Step Four: On Halloween, collect the canned goods and other items, AND encourage neighbors, family, friends, and co-workers to scan the code to collect funds for Second Harvest. (Do not accept cash donations.)

Step Five: Within a few days, arrange to drop off your donations at Second Harvest Food Bank on Mercy Drive.
