Book Signing Event: 'Empty Plates' at Second Harvest Food Bank

With one in eight neighbors at risk of experiencing hunger on any given day, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida has seen a growing need for food assistance in recent years. That’s why leaders are inviting the community to attend a book signing event on Thursday, Aug. 8 for Empty Plates: The Evolution of Hunger Relief.

Written by Dave Krepcho who served as Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida President and CEO for 17 years, the book documents the history of hunger relief efforts while inspiring new solutions. It pays tribute to the early pioneers of the food bank movement while also providing valuable insights on how leadership, vision and culture can increase any organization’s impact.
